I bought a 98 Zx2 zetec engine & trans with 97,xxx miles today, for my project S/R. The engine was from a rear end wreck, but everything seems to be in great shape.

Started off by removing the transmission so I can put the engine on the stand.
Then started removed all the parts mounted to the block and head.
I started sanding the paint off the Intake side of the block, then repainted.
I'm almost finished the block when I decided to change the color of the block to silver. So I sanded the black paint
and repainted the block silver.

Now I'm taking off the oil pan and valve cover to sand blast and paint them. As you notice I
can only work with one arm, I recently lost my right arm to cancer but it hasn't stopped me from doing what I love!

Today I sand blasted and painted the oil pan and valve cover.(This might not be final product)

Getting closer to the final product.
