Problems That You May Come Across:
- 1) RUSTY BOLTS - The nut maybe rust weilded on. SOLUTION = WD40 would be good to have a round.
First remove shift knob, it should just screw off. Next remove the 2 screws in the 1st section of the console.
Then remove the 2 screws from the center of the console.
Then remove the last two screws of the 2nd section of the console and re-tract the seat belts. After that this section you remove first, then the 1st sections.
It should look like this then. You DONT have to remove the 4 nuts around you shifter.
Get a small screw driver and pry the spring out.
This is what the bolt looks like that you have to remove to remove the shifter.
Here is where you have to remove the bolt and nut from the shift linkage.
After removing the shifter from the tranny, the shifter can be removed.
